WHAT IS THE PRICE FOR A LOCAL MOVE?
Registration for local move is $39.99. Local move pricing is based on the duration of time your move takes and your school. Hourly prices depend on what school, day of the week and the number of movers you require.

CAN I CANCEL MY SERVICE REQUEST AFTER REGISTERING?
We understand travel plans change. You may cancel your service request at anytime. Registration payments for storage services are non-refundable however will remain as a credit on the account for one full year. Customers using shipping services are eligible for a full refund; however, if the supply kit has already shipped a full refund less $50 will be issued.
WHAT IS THE LATEST I CAN SIGN UP FOR SERVICES?

ARE MY ITEMS INSURED?
Items placed in storage are covered for up to $100. Electronics need to be in original packaging to be covered under our insurance. Any lost or damaged items must be reported immediately, please call 336.331.3935 or 336.430.2597. Each Brynn's Dorm Storage supplied box you ship will be insured for up to $100 by UPS. Note: Damage can be reported online only for packages that have an origination and destination within the United States.
CAN I PURCHASE ADDITIONAL INSURANCE?
We currently do not have the ability to sell additional insurance.

Storage: Items include but are not limited to cash, coins, jewelry, glass and collectible items of indefinable value. Damage to electronic equipment if not packed in its original packaging. Improperly packed items and un-packaged items, including furniture that is not wrapped and protected. Damage caused to assembled furniture and particleboard. WHAT PAYMENT METHODS DO YOU ACCEPT?
We accept most forms of credit and debit cards but unfortunately we are unable to accept cash, checks or money order transactions. This way we can make sure that your payment is processed correctly and applied directly to your account.
HOW AND WHEN WILL I BE BILLED?
Your items will be priced at time of pick up from your residence for summer storage. The balance will be automatically billed to the same credit card used to make your registration payment. Please email us at firstname.lastname@example.org to update card information. For shipping or local move services your card will be billed at time of registration.
WHAT DOES PAYING FOR REGISTRATION GET ME? IS IT REFUNDABLE?
For storage/local move customers the registration payment of $39.99 secures a spot on our trucks and provides a complimentary supply kit that includes five (5) double walled 4 cubic foot boxes (18" x 18" x 22") as well as packing tips and a roll of tape. The registration payment is non-refundable, however, if you need to cancel your service because your plans have changed the payment will remain as a credit on your account for 1 full year. Shipping registration payments vary depending on package selection. Shipping customers may receive a full refund of their registration payment because they pay for their entire service up front upon submitting their registration, however, if the supply kit has already shipped out prior to receiving the request for cancellation a $50 cancellation fee will be assessed.
WHAT IF I WANT TO SHIP LARGE ITEMS LIKE A CHAIR OR DESK?
Brynn's Dorm Storage works with UPS to provide shipping for your items. Each item must be boxed in order to be shipped. If you can fit it in our box, we can ship it.
HOW DO I SCHEDULE A UPS PICK UP?
Once you are registered and have entered in your shipping information, you will be able to schedule a pickup with UPS for any day Monday-Friday from 9am-6pm.
DO I HAVE TO SHIP ALL THE BOXES THAT CAME WITH MY SHIPPING PACKAGE?
Our Shipping packages come in multiples of 5, if you do not need to ship all of the boxes that came in your package send an email to email@example.com and provide the tracking numbers off the unused shipping labels. Your account will be reviewed and the appropriate credit will be processed.
HOW CAN I TRACK MY ORDER ONCE IT HAS BEEN PLACED?
Once your items have shipped, check the UPS website using your tracking numbers available for each package. If you weren't able to pack everything into the boxes that were shipped, we will ship the remaining items and send you a tracking number via email.

Most colleges and universities do not accept packages prior to your day of move-in. With Brynn's Dorm Storage Ship to School service we can schedule a specific day of delivery to your dorm room or residence, so you can receive your belongings the same day you check-in without the hassle of lugging it with you on the plane. You will also receive free shipping supplies and a free UPS pickup from your home!
WHEN DO I NEED TO KNOW MY SHIP TO SCHOOL PICKUP DATE?
Once registered, please let us know what your desired day of move-in at school. We will recommend the best day to have your belongings picked up from you based on the time it takes to ship to your school. We recommend scheduling your pick up by calling us at least 7 business days prior to move-in.
IS THERE ANYTHING I CANNOT SHIP?

HOW MUCH DOES YOUR SHIPPING PACKAGE COST?

Shipping pricing will be based on the zip code of the location you are shipping from and the delivery destination; including the weight and size of your boxes. HOW DOES VALET PICK UP/DELIVERY WORK?
Instead of having to bring your boxes to the location where UPS picks up, our movers will come to your dorm or residence and do all the heavy lifting for an upgrade of $87.87. This upgrade includes up to 2 weeks of storage and hand delivered directly to your dorm room or residence when you arrive to school.
I NEED TO MAKE A LAST MINUTE CHANGE TO MY SCHEDULED UPS PICK UP?
Rescheduling or making changes to your UPS pickup after you have printed your labels will require a $30 change notice fee. Please give us a call or send us an email and we will make the changes requested.
Summer and Study Abroad Program
CAN I STORE MY COMPUTER AND OTHER ELECTRONICS?
Our climate-controlled warehouses are capable of safely storing electronics. All electronics must be packaged in their original packaging to be covered under our insurance. If you do not have the original packaging just make sure to pack with bubble wrap or packing blankets to secure the electronics. As always, all items are handled with the highest level of care.
WHAT DO I DO WITH LARGE ITEMS LIKE A FUTON OR BICYCLE?
Large items such as bicycles, futons or lamps can be left out of boxes. The Brynn's Dorm Storage affiliates will properly tag the items when they arrive to pick them up.
IS THERE ANYTHING I CANNOT STORE WITH BRYNN'S DORM STORAGE?
Brynn's Dorm Storage does not allow storing of cash, jewelry, illegal substances or paraphernalia, or hazardous materials. Please call or email us if you have any questions on storage with specific items.

HOW DO I EXTEND MY STORAGE PERIOD FOR MORE THAN ONE SEMESTER?
Once your items are in storage we can extend your storage period for as long as needed. Pricing for additional semesters will be at the same rate per item as your current order in storage. Charges for extended storage will be billed to your card on file once you requested your service to be extended.
CAN I SHIP SOME OF MY ITEMS AND STORE THE REST? WHAT DOES THAT COST?
Yes, you must clearly mark the boxes you would like shipped and let your movers know which are for storage and which are for shipping at pick up. Also, please have the address written on each box. Pricing is $10 per box for handling + UPS shipping freight.
WHAT IS THE COST OF YOUR STORAGE SERVICE?
We price per item per semester. Our standard 18" x 18" x 22" box costs $44 to store, which includes the pick up, storage and delivery on one of our feature days. Pricing for non- boxed items will be determined by Brynn's Dorm Storage affiliates.
WHAT IS THE TYPICAL COST FOR STORAGE?
The average student stores 5-6 of our signature boxes along with 1-2 non-boxed items. Typical cost is approximately $300-$350, but remember; that includes everything! The supplies, pick up from your room, storage for the entire semester and delivery when you return to school on one of our feature days.
HOW DOES STORAGE WORK?
1) After registering for storage with us, we ship supply kits of 5 boxes and tape to your residence. Boxes are 18" X 18" x 22" in size. 2.) Our professional movers come to your room at the designated pickup time. Items are priced at the time of pick up and the credit card on file will be billed for storage at that time. 3.) We store your items for the entire summer/semester in our climate controlled storage facility. 4.) Then we deliver all items back to your new residence on or off campus on the day you would like to return.
HOW SHOULD I LABEL MY BOXES FOR SHIPPING?
Once you have printed your shipping labels, tape one shipping label to the top of each box you want to ship. Tape should be placed around the edges of the shipping label, and should not cover the bar codes on your labels. Make sure to dispose of any unused or duplicate shipping labels. Only one package will ship per unique label assigned to you.
HOW SHOULD I PACK MY BED & FUTON?
You may wrap your mattress in plastic in order to keep the dust & bed bugs out.
HOW SHOULD I PACK MY DESKS AND FURNITURE?
Make sure to cover the finished surfaces of your furniture with either plastic or cardboard. Empty your items and secure all of the drawers and shelves so that they do not open or separate during the move.
HOW SHOULD I PREPARE MY LUGGAGE AND TRUNKS?
Lock or tape your luggage securely so that it does not open during the move.
HOW SHOULD I PREPARE MY REFRIGERATOR?
Unplug your refrigerator and leave the doors open at least 2 days prior to your selected move out day. This is to ensure that it has completely defrosted and dried so that it does not mold and leak water on your other items. Wrap the cord up and tape it securely behind the coils so that it does not drag or tear. Make sure to secure the drawers and shelves inside as they may shift during the move. Please keep in mind that a fee will be assessed if not defrosted adequately due to the additional handling needed by our movers before it's placed into storage.
HOW SHOULD I PREPARE MY BOXES FOR SHIPPING?
Packing your boxes with care will ensure they make it to your final destination on time and damage free. Make sure your packages do not exceed 50lbs and that you have distributed the weight evenly. Fragile items should be separated from each other, and from the corners, sides, top, and bottom of the box. Use recommended internal protection materials to safeguard your belongings. Recommended Materials: bubble wrap, packing peanuts, inflatable packaging and foam enclosures. Non-recommended Materials: clothing, blankets, towels, newspaper/newsprint, and pillows. Avoid packing valuables and perishables, such as: cash, jewelry liquids, food, candles or toiletries. Close your box securely by applying three strips of the provided packing tape to both the top and bottom of the box, so the three edge seams are tightly sealed.
HOW MUCH WEIGHT DOES EACH BOX HOLD?
Our package pricing allows for up to 50 pounds per Brynn's Dorm Storage box being shipped. Boxes in excess of 50 pounds but less than or equal to 150 pounds are subject to an overweight fee of $3 per pound. TIP: Concerned your box may be overweight? Simply step on a scale and note your weight, then pick up your box and step back on the scale. You should now be able to estimate the weight of your box with a little math.
HOW SHOULD I PREPARE MY PLASTIC DRAWERS?
Make sure to tape the drawers securely shut. Items stored inside your drawers should be packed snugly so they do not shift in transit.
HOW DO I PREPARE MY RUGS?
Roll your rug tightly and tape it securely in at least 3 places. Wrap it in plastic if you would like to keep the dust out.
HOW SHOULD I PACK MY TELEVISION?
We recommend that you use the original packaging materials for your television so that it will be covered under insurance. If not possible, wrap your television in moving blankets or towels and place it inside of a sturdy box. Make sure that the television is secured and does not shift inside of the box. Also make sure that nothing is putting pressure on the screen of the TV. TV's can be stored outside of a box, but will not be insured. Only TV's packed properly in their original packaging will be covered under the insurance.
PROPERLY CLOSE AND TAPE YOUR BOXES
When building and sealing your boxes, you should use three strips of the provided tape for both the top and the bottom of the box.
HOW DO I PACK MY LAMPS?
Remove light bulbs and cover lamp shades with a plastic bag to keep them clean.
HOW SHOULD I PACK MY MICROWAVE?
Remove the glass tray inside your microwave and pack it securely in one of your boxes. Use a blanket, towel or bubble wrap to protect it.
HOW SHOULD I PACK MY SHELVES?
Remove any separable shelves and tape them together tightly. Pack any hardware inside one of your boxes.
KEEP YOUR STUFF SAFE
Almost all damage during moving occurs because of improperly packed boxes. Consider the following suggestions when packing your boxes for pick up and Storage.
PACK FRAGILE ITEMS SECURELY
Place your fragile items in the center of your boxes with soft items such as clothes and blankets surrounding them. Make sure that the fragile items are snug in place and cannot shift around.
FOLLOW UPS PACKAGING GUIDELINES
You can help to ensure that your package arrives safely and on time with these packaging guidelines and procedures developed from UPS research. Use a rigid box with flaps intact. Remove any labels, hazardous materials indicators, and other previous shipment markings on the box that are no longer applicable. Wrap all items separately. Use adequate cushioning material. Use strong tape designed for shipping. Do not use string or paper over-wrap. Use a single address label that has clear, complete delivery and return information. Place a duplicate address label inside the package.
To ensure the safety of your items and to avoid breaking your box, we suggest that you distribute your heavier items evenly throughout all of your boxes.
